And so the critter gathering begins. Fritz Kraus, AK Department of Fish and Game, directs student efforts to "do the dance" resulting in macroinvertebrates (and some fish!) being collected for further study. The water temperature was around 36 degrees Fahrenheit, but these hardy souls do not appear to be cold...

OK... So now that we caught all these fish, what species are they? Not exactly pan fryers, are they???
 

And on to a new location, off Folker Street, where stream bank restoration has been undertaken. More dancing?
