| The Academic Support Center (ASC) has three computer labs on campus that provide students Internet access, productivity software, and printers. The ASC located on the 2nd floor of the Atwood Center is the main computer lab on campus has 16 Windows and 5 Macintosh computers in the outer Open Lab. This location also has a small connected "Teaching Lab" with 12 Windows XP computers. The third located in the Carr Gottstein building Room 228 is also a "Teaching Lab" equipped with 11 Macintosh computers and 2 Windows XP computers. Both Teaching Labs are open labs most of the time, but also are available for reservation by professors for class use. All Windows computers in these labs have Pentium IV processors and are running the Windows XP Professional operating system. All Macintosh computers in these labs have G4 or better processors and are running the OS X 10.3 or OS X 10.4 |
All three labs have printers for student use. The main ASC Lab also has color printing available for student assignments. All computers have CD writing capability and most also have DVD writing capability. |
Two additional GIS labs located in the Carr Gottstein and Grant Hall buildings (run by the Environmental Science department)are available for student use. Check with Jason Geck at 564-8309 for available times for general lab use of the GIS computer labs. |
